Quartz Epoxy Flooring in Takoma Park, MD

Takoma Park Epoxy Flooring Company installs quartz epoxy flooring in Takoma Park, Maryland, broadcasting colored quartz granules into epoxy in two layers for laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries off the garage in Hillwood Manor and New Hampshire Gardens homes. The result is among the toughest and most heavily textured finishes we install, with natural grip even when the floor is wet, which is exactly what spaces that see snow melt, mop water, and wet boots every day require.

Two Broadcast Layers of Quartz

Quartz systems are built in depth: a base coat takes a full broadcast of colored quartz granules, then a second coat and broadcast build the texture before the system is sealed. That double layer is what gives quartz its dense, stone like feel underfoot and its resistance to wear in high traffic wet zones.

• Colored quartz granules broadcast in two layers
• Dense textured finish, among our toughest builds
• Color blends from quiet gray to warmer mixes
• Sealed with a durable protective topcoat

Grip Where Water Shows Up Daily

The granule texture holds footing on wet floors without add on grit, which is why quartz earns its place in Takoma Park mudrooms during slush season, laundry rooms with the occasional overflow, basement utility areas, and porches where rain reaches the concrete. It is also a commercial kitchen staple for the same reason.

• Natural grip on wet surfaces
• Suited to mudrooms, laundry, and utility spaces
• Handles mop water and cleaning routines
• Porch and entry applications where rain reaches

Built Over Prepared Concrete

Quartz still starts the same way as every system we install: diamond grinding, crack and spall repair, and moisture testing, with a mitigation primer on older slabs that read high. The texture hides minor slab character well, but bond depends on preparation, and we do not skip it for a forgiving finish.

• Diamond grinding with dust control
• Repairs leveled before the first broadcast
• Moisture readings taken and shared
• Primer matched to the slab condition

Cleaning a Textured Floor

Quartz floors clean with a stiff broom or deck brush and a mop, and the texture that gives the grip also hides the daily grit of an entry between cleanings. The sealed surface does not hold mop water or laundry spills in pores, so utility spaces stay fresher than they did on bare concrete.

• Deck brush and mop for routine cleaning
• Sealed surface sheds spills and mop water
• Texture hides daily grit between cleanings
• No grout lines to darken over time

What the Quote Visit Settles for Quartz Epoxy Flooring

Before any quartz epoxy flooring work is scheduled in Takoma Park, the quote visit settles the questions a photograph cannot answer: the moisture level of the slab, the true condition under any existing finish, access for equipment, and how the space is used day to day. For the Hillwood Manor project detailed below, that meant items like colored quartz granules broadcast in two layers and natural grip on wet surfaces were written into the scope before a price was named. Your quote works the same way, with the system, the preparation steps, the materials, and the schedule listed in plain language, so the finished floor is the floor that was promised, with no scope quietly trimmed once the work begins and no surprises added after it.

Recent Project: Quartz Epoxy Flooring in Hillwood Manor

Project note: a laundry and mudroom in Hillwood Manor, 260 square feet, was ground, repaired at a cracked threshold, and moisture tested. The build was a two layer quartz broadcast in light gray with a sealed topcoat and a coved edge at the utility sink, giving the room grip through the whole slush season.
